A native New Yorker, Brian has been teaching, coaching and mentoring children for the past 15 years. Brian has directed over a dozen lacrosse-specific camps across the country and has worked for several summer camps here in New York. His passion not only lies in sports, but fostering the full development of children. His love of New York City motivated him to team up with coach Carly to launch this new, exciting NYC based camp. With BEE In The City, they have the opportunity to help children grow creatively, emotionally, mentally and physically in a bustling city full of energy. Brian looks forward to meeting and inspringing all BEE In The City campers this June!
Carly is a Third Grade teacher at Columbia Grammar School on the upper west side of Manhattan. She joins our team from Chicago where she was a teacher, caregiver, coach, camp director, and co-founder of a Chicago-based kids summer camp. Her passion as an artist and athlete, a lifelong camper herself, and her success as a camp director in Chicago helped to inspire our BEE In The City camp. As a part of the BEE In The Motion team, she has been an invaluable asset, and cannot wait to teach and mentor NYC children for four weeks this June!
Carly and Brian want to not only give young children the opportunity to explore and learn more about Manhattan, but also provide countless fun opportunities that will foster a child’s whole-self. From art projects to sport lessons to fundraising events to yoga classes to small group games to cooking class to reading/writing practice, BEE In The City can offer it’s campers a unique one of a kind NYC camp experience.
We have tremendous pride in our staff, that every counselor is a college educated adult who is a coach, teacher, or mentor in the community. As teachers and educators in New York City, our skills from the classroom will transfer to making your child’s summer safe, organized, educational and unforgettable.
